Jack Coursen

Jack Coursen has extensive experience in professional development within the field of communication sciences and disorders, currently serving as the Senior Director of Professional Development at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since May 2004. In this role, Jack Coursen oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive professional development programs, focusing on identifying educational needs, evaluating offerings, and applying innovative learning methodologies. Previous positions at ASHA include Associate Director, Educational Program Manager, and Program Coordinator, where responsibilities ranged from managing the learning management system to overseeing activity registration and reporting. Prior to ASHA, Jack Coursen worked as Office Manager at Chesapeake Native Nursery, having started as a field assistant, and demonstrated skills in bookkeeping and office management.
