Marquise McGraw

Marquise McGraw, Ph.D., serves as the Director of the Master of Public Administration and Master of Public Policy programs and a Professorial Lecturer at American University since January 2019. McGraw teaches economic and statistical methods courses, including public finance and cost-benefit analysis. Previous experience includes roles as an economist at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where contributions involved fair lending research and policy advising, and part-time positions at Ripple Effect and the University of Maryland. Additional appointments span various academic institutions, such as UC Berkeley and Middlebury, where McGraw conducted research and taught courses in economics. McGraw holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on labor and urban economics.
