Merve Basak Canalp

Head Of Research at AMEXCI

Merve Basak Canalp is currently the Head of Research at AMEXCI since March 2020. Prior to this, Merve Basak worked as a Research Fellow at The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg from March 2016 to February 2020. Merve Basak also served as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Boğaziçi University from October 2011 to January 2013, where their research focused on the modeling of free radical polymerization and water swelling analysis of bioartificial pancreas materials. Merve has a PhD in Polymer Chemistry, a Master's degree in Polymer Materials Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Their experience includes conducting research on the synthesis and modification of various (co)polymers for advanced applications.

AMEXCI is a leading Additive Manufacturing company based in the Nordics. Founded in 2017, the company has specialized in metal Industrial 3D printing. In fall 2024, we are commissioning a state-of-the-art facility in Örebro with 4.700 m², tailor made for AM and the latest industrial 3D printing technology available in the market.
