Lydia Johnson

Lydia Johnson is a seasoned professional in research management and support, currently serving as Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange at the University of Nottingham's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences since January 2012. In this role, Lydia oversees a variety of research-related activities, including the management of the REF return and the measurement of research performance. Previously, Lydia held the position of Research Strategy Manager in the same faculty and also served as Senior Librarian (Research Support), where contributions included leading initiatives in scholarly communications and developing university policy. Lydia's earlier experience includes work as a Research Analytics Officer at the University of Strathclyde and a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow focused on asthma research. Lydia's academic background includes a PhD in Rheumatology from the University of Leeds and a BMedSc in Medical Science from the University of Birmingham.
