Derek Miller is senior vice president, Human Resources, and Amgen’s chief human resources officer. Miller has been with Amgen since 2003 and has led different aspects of the Human Resources function, including, most recently, having responsibility for the company’s compensation and benefits programs. He has played a critical leadership role in Amgen’s response to COVID-19, which includes a new approach to how and where many Amgen employees around the world do their work. He also has held roles in each of the company’s major business functions, including serving as the Human Resources leader for Amgen’s European business, headquartered in Switzerland.
Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Grinnell College and executive Master of Business Administration degrees from the National University of Singapore and UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
