Chris Baker

Chris Baker, CFA, currently serves as the Head of Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at AMP since October 2021, focusing on portfolio construction and manager selection. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a Director and Fixed Income Strategist at BlackRock from February 2019 to September 2021, where responsibilities included investment and product strategy alongside client management. Chris also held the position of Principal at Mercer from July 2008 to December 2018, specializing in Fixed Income and Alternatives, managing manager research and providing investment consulting advice. Earlier experience includes serving as a Portfolio Manager at SEI from March 2005 to June 2008, and as an Investment Analyst at Intech Investments from February 2002 to February 2005. Chris's career began as a Graduate Accountant at EY from January 2000 to January 2002. Academically, Chris holds a CFA designation from the CFA Institute and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from Macquarie University.
