Anita Cotton

Anita Cotton is an experienced educator currently serving as a 2nd grade teacher at An Achievable Dream since August 2017. Prior to this role, Anita taught 4th grade and kindergarten at Newport News Public Schools from August 2001 to June 2023, focusing on holistic student development and confidence-building. Anita's career also includes experience as a paraprofessional, educator, and behavioral coach, providing classroom management and behavioral support. Additionally, Anita has worked as an office assistant and Title I assistant at Hidenwood Elementary. Anita holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Arts in Psychology, specializing in Childhood Mental Health, from Grand Canyon University.
