Tao Chen

Tao Chen is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in data science and risk management. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at 创业 since August 2022, Tao previously held significant roles at Ant Financial from February 2014, including Director of Security and Risk Management and Senior Staff Data Scientist. In this capacity, Tao led a multi-site team of 20 data scientists, developing AI-based decision-making engines and overseeing various risk management projects. Prior roles included Staff Data Scientist at Renren Inc., Supervisor and Research Scientist at EMC Labs China, and Assistant Professor at various institutions, culminating in a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor's in Mathematics from Peking University.
