James McGregor

James McGregor is an American author, journalist, and businessman with over 25 years of experience in China. Currently serving as Chairman of APCO Worldwide for Greater China since January 2010, McGregor also operates James McGregor Inc. as CEO, focusing on public speaking, commentary, and writing about China. McGregor authored "One Billion Customers: Lessons From the Front Lines of Doing Business in China," widely regarded as an essential guide for navigating the Chinese market. Previous roles include Senior Counselor at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, China Managing Partner at GIV Venture Partners, and CEO of Dow Jones Inc. in China. McGregor's early career includes positions with the Wall Street Journal and Knight Ridder Newspapers. McGregor earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Minnesota.
