Scott Wilson

Scott Wilson, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Scott currently serves as the Business Development Director, Acquisitions and Partnerships at Apex Clean Energy since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Mergers and Acquisitions Manager at Northrop Grumman from 2021 to 2022, where they supported various M&A activities and strategic investments. Scott also had a significant tenure at The AES Corporation, where they held positions such as Mergers and Acquisitions Director and Senior Associate, leading global M&A efforts and overseeing significant acquisition and sale transactions. Scott started their career as an Aircraft Structural Maintenance Journeyman in the United States Air Force. Scott also has experience as a Teaching Assistant for the Finance Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Law Clerk at Singleton Law Firm, and a Fixed Income Investments Analyst Intern at State Farm Insurance. Scott Wilson, CFA has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Illinois Chicago, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004. From 2006 to 2010, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law at the University of Illinois College of Law. Additionally, they hold a Master of Science degree in Finance from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed from 2008 to 2009.
