Don Brown is Senior Vice President and U.S. Safety Services Segment Leader for APi Group.
Safety Services, APi Groups’ largest operating segment, provides life safety and security services including fire protection, HVAC, and building control and entry systems. In his role, Don is responsible for alignment, performance, and leadership development across the 16 APi Group companies that comprise the U.S. Safety Services segment.
Since 2017, Don has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Davis-Ulmer Fire Protection, a full-service life safety services company, headquartered in Buffalo, New York. The company provides fire protection services, including inspections, service and installation of fire sprinkler, suppression, and alarm and detection systems. APi Group acquired Davis-Ulmer in 2005.
Prior to Davis-Ulmer, Don worked for Western States Fire Protection, also an APi Group powered company. He joined Western States Fire Protection in 2006 as a Project Manager in Denver and became an Area Manager of the Colorado Springs branch in 2008. In 2013, he relocated to Nevada and was promoted to Area Manager of Statewide Fire Protection.
Don’s keys to success include a commitment to continuous improvement, lifelong learning and maintaining a strong network. He enjoys volunteering his time and staying active with local chambers of commerce.
Don earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy and served as a Naval Officer for five years, including numerous overseas deployments.
