Maria Nelson has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Maria started their career as a PhD student at Umeå University in 2006 and later became a Senior Research Associate there from 2015 to 2016. In 2017, they joined Umeå Biotech Incubator as a Project Manager until 2019, and then transitioned to the role of Business Coach until 2020. Currently, they are working as a Project Manager at APL (Apotek Produktion & Laboratorier AB) starting from 2020.
Maria Nelson's education history begins in 1999 when they attended Södertörn University for a general biology program. Maria then transferred to Umeå University, where they completed their Master's degree in Molecular Biology from 2000 to 2004. Following their Master's degree, Maria further pursued their education at Umeå University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology, which they completed between 2006 and 2015.
