Trevor Bekolay is a Senior Research Scientist and Co-Founder at Applied Brain Research, where development focuses on AI software for low-latency, high-accuracy applications at the edge since February 2016. Prior to this, Trevor completed a PhD at the Centre for Theoretical Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo, specializing in biologically inspired methods for speech recognition and synthesis, and also conducted research on learning in large-scale spiking neural networks during a Master's program at the same institution. Trevor's earlier work includes writing for howtogeek.com, producing guides for Linux and Windows tasks. Trevor holds a PhD and M.Math in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and a B.C.Sc (Honours) in Computer Science from the University of Manitoba.
