Karl Gall has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Karl began their career in 2015 as an Intern at the West Virginia High Tech Foundation, where they gained knowledge in circuit board programming and basic physics concepts. Karl then interned at Röchling Engineering Plastics in 2016, where they focused on data analysis, troubleshooting computer issues, and building computer profiles.
In 2017, Karl joined IBM as a Software Developer Consultant. During their time at IBM, they designed and developed a report-driven website and created an analytics dashboard for data visualization. Karl utilized tools such as Sketch, ReactJS, hooks, functional components, react-router, axios, React, Recharts, and D3. Karl also demonstrated their proficiency in writing clean and easy-to-read code in an agile environment.
Currently, Karl is working at Apploi as an Engineering Manager, starting in 2021. In this role, they are responsible for writing JSX code, styled-components, and complex logic for JIRA issues. Karl also serves as a tech lead for multiple projects, both greenfield and ongoing. Additionally, they write TypeScript code in a shared design system called Storybook.
