Shiva Duraiswamy

Shiva Duraiswamy is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the design and development of advanced technologies across multiple industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Apptronik since May 2024, Shiva leads the engineering team focused on creating a general-purpose humanoid robot system. Previously, at Hyliion from August 2021 to May 2024, Shiva oversaw engineering and product development for electrification solutions. A significant tenure at GE from November 2012 to August 2021 involved roles that included Director of Engineering, where Shiva directed a global team for product development in propulsion and software, enhancing fuel efficiency and e-mobility initiatives. Early career experiences at Daimler Trucks North America and Cummins further emphasized expertise in powertrain controls and control algorithms. Shiva holds an M.B.A. in Strategy and Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
