George Vollkommer is a seasoned food technologist with extensive experience in product development and culinary science. Currently serving as a Senior Food Technologist at Aqua Star since July 2025, Vollkommer previously held the role of Sr. Product Developer at Starbucks from July 2017 to May 2025, where significant achievements included the development and nationwide launch of over 50 signature products and the implementation of cost-reduction programs that saved over $100 million annually. Prior experience includes roles at Pilot R+D as a Culinary Scientist, and internships at esteemed establishments like Mattson. Vollkommer has worked in notable restaurants such as Noma, Attica, and Alinea, contributing to their reputations as top culinary destinations. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Culinary Science and an Associate in Occupational Studies in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America.
