Archer
Niki Smart currently serves as the Director of the Innovation Group at Archer, an aerospace company focused on developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft to enhance urban mobility, a position held since March 2021. Additionally, Niki has been an instructor for the Trans 4A Exterior Design course at ArtCenter College of Design since September 2020 and is the Design Director at A Bike Company since February 2019. Prior experience includes roles as Design Manager at General Motors Advanced Design from October 2000 to March 2019, and Designer positions at Ford Motor Company from June 1998 to October 2000, and TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) in summer 1997. Niki holds an MA in Vehicle Design from the Royal College of Art (1997-1999) and a BA in Transportation Design from Coventry University (1992-1997).
