Abraham Vega is a Senior Process Development Scientist at Ares Materials, Inc. since June 2016, with prior experience as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas from August 2009 to January 2016. During the time at The University of Texas at Dallas, Abraham developed and optimized a home-built Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) reactor featuring in-situ Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) capabilities and improved the standard deposition method of phosphonic acid Self-Assembled Monolayers (SAMs) on silicon oxide surfaces. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Engineering and a Master's degree in Materials Science, both obtained from The University of Texas at Dallas, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Saltillo.
