Nicholas Lowe is a Professor in the department of Historic Preservation at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, with a teaching focus on interdisciplinary and contextual studio practices, material culture, and arts-focused career development. Previous experience includes serving as a Curator for the Chicago Cultural Center, where an exhibition on goat island archive was curated, and as Director of Projects for the Rural Education and Arts Project, alongside roles as a Visiting Lecturer at IFKIK Berlin and a Senior Lecturer in Fine Arts at the University of the West of England. Educational qualifications include an HDFA in Fine Art from UCL and a BA in Crafts Combined Studies from Crewe and Alsager College of H.E.
