Jim Henn

Jim Henn has extensive work experience in building control. Jim started their career as a Trainee Building Control Officer at Arun District Council in 1982 and worked there until 1984. Jim then joined Horsham District Council as an Assistant Building Control Officer from 1984 to 1986. In 1986, they returned to Arun District Council and held various roles, including Senior & Principal Building Control Surveyor, before becoming the Head of Building Control in 2004, a position they currently hold.

Jim Henn has a diverse education history in the field of building surveying and management. Jim holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from the University of Portsmouth. Jim also obtained a Diploma in Building Surveying and Building Control from Croydon College. Additionally, they have a Certificate in Management Studies from the University of Portsmouth. Furthermore, Jim Henn has a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction Surveying from Highbury College and an Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) in Construction Surveying from Chichester College. In terms of certifications, they are a Chartered Member (MCABE) of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers.
