Arxada
Jean-Michel (JM) is a dual Swiss-French citizen, who joined Arxada in April 2022 to lead the new global Industrial Microbial business unit.
He has 30 years’ experience in specialty chemicals, with a strong focus on advanced materials innovations, growth venture management, business transformation and strategic development.
JM began his career with DuPont, as a research engineer in Electronics Materials in The Netherlands. He has since held increasingly senior R&D, M&A and business management roles across multiple industries and markets. Before joining Arxada he was Vice President/ Managing Director of AkzoNobel’s global Marine & Protective business unit.
He has an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers in Paris, as well as business management degrees from Columbia University and IMD Lausanne.
JM is also trustee of several non-profit organizations promoting young adults’ education and professional development, also servicing as a Naval Academy consultant.
