Mark Holmes

Mark Holmes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector, currently serving as the Head of Content and Data Quality at Ascent since February 2024. As the CEO and Founder of Waymark Tech Ltd since February 2016, Mark has pioneered regulatory intelligence automation using natural language processing to assist compliance teams. Previous roles include Program Manager for Regulation at Traiana, where Mark focused on transaction reporting and compliance across various global regulations, and leadership positions at HSBC and Deutsche Bank, where Mark contributed to product development and project management in finance. Mark initiated an online community for endurance events as the Founder of My Life is Sport and began a career in equity derivatives at Morgan Stanley. Mark holds a BSc in Combined Studies from Heriot-Watt University and has a background in Chemistry from The University of Edinburgh.
