John O. Gunderson has extensive work experience in the legal field. John O. started their career as a Judicial Extern at the Circuit Court of Cook County in 2007. In 2008, they worked as a Summer Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. John O. continued their journey at Kirkland & Ellis, where they served as an Associate from November 2009 to October 2015 and later became a Partner from October 2015 to March 2017. Since 2017, Gunderson has been with Assembly Biosciences, Inc., where they have held various roles including Director of Corporate Counsel, Director of Corporate Counsel and Assistant Secretary, Senior Director of Corporate & SEC Counsel and Assistant Secretary, Executive Director of Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary, and currently serves as the VP General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
John O. Gunderson attended Creighton University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and History. Following this, they pursued further education at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Juris Doctor degree specializing in Law.
