ASSOCIATION TO BENEFIT CHILDREN
Maya Sydir, LMSW, is a dedicated social worker currently employed at NYC Health + Hospitals since November 2023 and serves as a Child and Family Therapist at the Association to Benefit Children (ABC) since September 2022. With previous experience as a Hospital Social Worker at NYC HHC Elmhurst Hospital Center, Maya specialized in supporting families in the NICU by conducting assessments and facilitating discharge planning. Other roles include serving as a Case Manager at Little Treasures-Petits Trésors, SLP & Psychology, where Maya managed adult clients' care, and as a Behavioral Therapist at STAR of CA, providing ABA therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara, where Maya was also involved in research related to stress response.
