Natalie Myers, LMHC, has extensive experience in counseling and academic coaching, currently serving as an Academic Coach & Counselor for children, adolescents, and teens at Ashley Waknine Counseling and Coaching Practice since October 2021. Concurrently, Natalie has worked as a Child and Family Therapist at Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. since August 2018, providing trauma-informed care using various therapeutic modalities and collaborating with a team of professionals to support emotionally distressed participants. Prior experiences include serving as a Child and Family Therapist Intern, Graduate Assistant at Lynn University's Institute for Achievement & Learning, and President of the Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority. Natalie holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science with a minor in Psychology from Lynn University.

Women In Distress is the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full service domestic violence center serving Broward County, Florida. Our mission is to stop domestic violence abuse for everyone through intervention, education and advocacy.We strive to accomplish this mission through a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter program, individual counseling, support groups and professional trainings which are aimed at educating the community on domestic violence. Our confidential services are offered free of charge to victims of domestic violence no matter their age, gender, race or socio-economic status.
