Chris Teo has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry. Chris started their career as a Senior Field Process Engineer at Lam Research in 2000, where they worked until 2007. Following that, they joined AMEC (Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc. China) as a Senior Field Application Engineer from 2007 to 2008. Chris then moved to GlobalFoundries, where they worked as a Section Manager from 2008 to 2012. Currently, they are with the Institute of Microelectronics, holding the positions of Manager since 2012 and recently becoming the Head of Department in January 2022.

Chris Teo's education history includes a period from 1991 to 1994 when they attended Singapore Polytechnic. There, they earned a Diploma with Merit in Chemical Process Technology. From 1997 to 2000, Chris attended Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Materials Engineering.
