Ramya Shankar

Ramya Shankar is a highly experienced technology leader currently serving as Senior Director at Astera Labs since December 2024. Prior to this, Ramya held various key positions at Cisco from 2012 to December 2024, including Director of Silicon One Productization and Senior Manager, where Ramya was instrumental in guiding ASIC development from startup acquisition to production, contributing to significant revenue generation. Earlier roles included Component and Product Engineering Manager, focusing on quality management of merchant silicon, and Component Engineer, driving new technologies and supplier quality. Ramya’s career began with positions at Comit Systems, Inc., Intel Corporation, and LSI Logic, showcasing a diverse background in hardware engineering and design. Ramya holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
