Clemens Rumpf

Clemens Rumpf has extensive experience in the aerospace industry, currently serving as GNC Team Lead and Senior GNC Engineer at Astranis Space Technologies since October 2021, focusing on navigation, guidance, space situational awareness, and spacecraft operations. Previously, Rumpf was the Orbital Mechanics Lead at Momentus, where responsibilities included trajectory optimization and ConOps design. Prior roles include Aerospace Engineer at NASA Ames Research Center, where Rumpf developed real-time data processing pipelines and conducted risk analysis simulations, and a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow at USRA. Rumpf has also led projects in various capacities, such as Space System Additive Manufacturing Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, and has experience with ESA on lunar missions. Rumpf holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southampton and a Diplom Ingenieur from Technische Universität Braunschweig.
