Athens Country Club
Athens Country Club is a private golf and country club, founded in 1926. This haven for members and their families and guests offers an 18-hole course designed by Donald Ross and a 9-hole North course designed by George Cobb. Cobb later in his career designed the par 3 golf course at Augusta National. An active and superlative tennis population enjoy play on USTA blue outdoor mixed surface and clay courts with cabanas. The Swim Center boasts an Olympic sized pool, zero-entry baby pool, and the best water slide around! Amenities have lockers and changing areas which afford convenience. Inside the clubhouse are dining rooms, a magnificent ballroom, ladies and men's locker rooms, a casual Mixed Grill and a fitness center. Members are able to use the amenities of their club seven days per week, providing great value. The membership is warm and welcoming, the staff professional and caring and the club's facilities are outstanding.
