Anestis Karasaridis, PhD, CISSP, serves as Director at AT&T Labs since October 2015, overseeing the architecture, design, and planning of the Network Control Infrastructure for various services. Previously, as Principal Inventive Scientist, Anestis led efforts in developing closed-loop control analytic software, successfully delivering the first production version to optimize cloud application performance. Anestis also contributed significantly at AT&T Labs - Research from April 2008 to September 2015 as a Principal Member of Technical Staff, where leadership in security dashboard development and best practices for DNS operations were key achievements. Anestis' research background includes detecting network security threats and developing resilient DNS infrastructures. Earlier experience includes a role as System Performance Analyst at Nortel Networks. Anestis holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, an MSE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B. Eng in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
