Gabe Herman is an audio educator, music producer, audio engineer, and sound designer.
Gabe has engineered and produced numerous music recordings in a variety of genres spanning from classical ensembles to modern rock, contemporary world beat music, jazz, blues, R&B and more on just about every form of media outlet. Gabe is the owner/operator of AudioGabriel LLC, a production company that focuses on creative, new works with notable local, regional and internationally recognized performing artists from around the world. His film scores, audio post, and sound design work have premiered and won awards at over 21 film festivals and he has also mixed and designed sound for a number of original programming series for NBC, VS, the Outdoor Channel and MTV as well as other prominent media outlets.
As Assistant Professor of Music Industry at The Hartt School, Gabe teaches classes in both the Music Production & Technology program as well as in the Music & Performing Arts Management. In his classes, students learn how to translate their passion for the music industry into important skills necessary for vibrant careers in the entertainment industry.
Gabe is a full, professional member of the Audio Engineering Society where he serves as the Vice Chair of the Audio Education Committee.

The Audio Engineering Society, celebrating over 70 years of audio excellence, now counts over 12,000 members throughout the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Japan and the Far East. The organization serves as the pivotal force in the exchange and dissemination of technical information for the industry. Currently, its members are affiliated with 90 AES professional sections and more than 120 AES student sections around the world. Section activities include guest speakers, technical tours, demonstrations and social functions. Through local AES section events members experience valuable opportunities for professional networking and personal growth.
