Mike Walker is an experienced Principal Petrophysicist and Director at Walker Petrophysics Pty Ltd, offering independent petrophysical and geological consultancy since July 2004. With 40 years of industry experience, Mike is actively seeking to connect with new clients. In addition to current roles at Carbon-X Australia as Director and Australian Sailing as Course Instructor, previous positions include Senior Petrophysicist at GDF SUEZ, Principal Petrophysicist roles at Riscadvisory and Isis Petroleum Consultants, and various consulting positions at Buru Energy Limited and ARC Energy Limited/AWE Ltd. Mike holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Geology from UNSW and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering & Earth and Planetary Sciences from Curtin University. Mike has also contributed to the Fremantle Sailing Club as a Board Member and Vice Commodore.
