Ismael Faraji has extensive experience in the field of instructional systems design and training development within the aviation sector. Currently serving as an Instructional Systems Design Validator at the International Civil Aviation Organization since March 2012, Ismael validates course development methodologies, provides On-the-Job Training for course developers, and conducts assessments for continuous oversight. Ismael holds multiple roles as an ICAO Qualified and Accredited Instructor, and has been a member of the faculty at the Civil Aviation Technology College since January 1998. Furthermore, Ismael contributed as an ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Consultant at Saman Air Services and managed the TRAINAIR Plus program at the Civil Aviation Technology College from 1999 to 2016. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the University of Tehran and a diploma in Electronics from Technical High School.

ICAO is funded and directed by 193 national governments to support their diplomacy and cooperation in air transport as signatory states to the Chicago Convention (1944). Its core function is to maintain an administrative and expert bureaucracy (the ICAO Secretariat) supporting these diplomatic interactions, and to research new air transport policy and standardization innovations as directed and endorsed by governments through the ICAO Assembly, or by the ICAO Council which the assembly elects. Industry and civil society groups, and other concerned regional and international organizations, also participate.
