Robert Giaquinto

Robert Giaquinto is a Principal AI Research Scientist at Autodesk, specializing in building foundation models for the 3D world within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) domain since February 2024. Prior experience includes serving as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from June 2021 to January 2024, where research focused on machine learning and natural language processing, specifically involving large language models for various applications. Robert also worked as a PhD Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from August 2016 to June 2021, exploring deep generative models under the guidance of advisor Arindam Banerjee. Additional experience includes internships at Adobe and HRL Laboratories, focusing on sequence-to-sequence models for AI applications and machine learning research for forecasting, respectively. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in the same field, both from the University of Minnesota.
