Michael Daines is a highly experienced design engineer currently serving as Principal Design Engineer at Autoliv since 2010, with a focus on knee airbag systems. Daines has progressed through various engineering roles, becoming a product expert for numerous versions of safety products. Previously, at ATK from May 2005 to October 2010, Daines designed specialized adhesives for aerospace systems and led product teams. Daines also contributed to Autoliv from 1993 to 2005, developing multiple airbag systems for major automotive manufacturers such as VW, Ford, and Toyota. Earlier career experience includes a role as Project Engineer at Chromalox and service as Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1986 to 1992. Daines holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University.
