Evan Tobiesen

Evan Tobiesen is a seasoned software engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in technology and project management. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer for Spanish Growth Projects and Engineering Manager for MarTech at Automattic, Evan focuses on architecture, project planning, and contributions to open-source and internal code in PHP, React, and TypeScript/JavaScript. Previously, as a Consulting Software Engineer at Tobiesen SL, Evan developed and operated web platforms for lead generation and consulting work with various technologies. Evan also founded and owned Cahoot Coworking, transforming a space in Barcelona into a thriving community for entrepreneurs. Earlier career roles include drilling fluids engineer at Halliburton and various internships at Statoil, coupled with business development experience at SKAGEN Fondene. Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Stavanger.
