John Petersen

John Petersen, CHST, currently serves as a QHSE Auditor & Field Services at Avetta since August 2019. Prior to this role, John held various positions in health, safety, and environmental management, including EHS Manager at FieldCore/G.E. Renewable Energy, Site Safety & Health Officer at Granite Construction, and Health & Safety Supervisor at EDP Renewables. As Regional EHS Supervisor at Gamesa Wind North America, John significantly improved safety performance and saved costs by conducting in-house training. John began a career in safety as a Safety Coordinator with Clipper Wind/Vance International and served as a Field Communications Specialist with the Army National Guard, achieving an honorable discharge. Educational qualifications include studies at Columbia Southern University and Pensacola Junior College.
