Senior Manager - Line 1 Risk at Aware Super

Daniel Tait has a diverse work experience spanning throughout various companies. Daniel started their professional career at Deutsche Bank in 1999, working in the role of Deutsche Global Custody. In 2001, they joined Deutsche Asset Management and later moved on to ING in 2003, where they worked in Counterparty Credit Risk and Client Relationship Management.

Tait then joined National Australia Bank (NAB) in 2007, where they held multiple roles including NAB Capital Risk Oversight and Analytics, and Market Risk Oversight - Treasury. At NAB, they oversaw various risk areas such as Market Risk, Banking Book, and Derivatives. Additionally, they had responsibilities in regulatory compliance, reporting, and capital calculations.

In 2011, Tait briefly worked at Clydesdale Bank in the role of Balance Sheet and Liquidity Risk and Analytics before returning to NAB in 2012. At NAB, they held the position of Balance Sheet and Liquidity Risk and Analytics Manager, overseeing Funding, Liquidity, Capital Securitisation, Foreign Exchange, Equity, and Market Risks. Daniel also played a role in regulatory submissions and policy development.

Tait then transitioned to the role of Regulatory Affairs Manager at NAB, where they managed the bank's regulatory risks and established positive relationships with regulators such as APRA, ASIC, and the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA). Additionally, they engaged with senior stakeholders to ensure the bank's compliance with regulations.

In 2019, Tait joined AustralianSuper as a Senior Business Solutions Analyst, working on various projects related to regulatory, liquidity, cash, and collateral management solutions. Daniel was also involved in the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and vendor management. Later, they took on the role of Line 1 Risk Manager, focusing on risk management within the organization.

Most recently, Tait is working at Aware Super as a Senior Manager - Line 1 Risk, starting in 2023.

Daniel Tait attended Canterbury Christ Church University from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Administration and Management, General.
