Karthik Kumar, CFA, serves as the Fund Manager for Axis Quant Fund at Axis Mutual Fund since June 2019, where responsibilities include establishing the quantitative vertical and implementing quantitative strategies. Prior to this role, Karthik was a Portfolio Manager at Silvertree Investment Management from April 2017 to June 2019, managing an Asia-Pac Market-Neutral Equity Long-Short allocation and developing systematic quantitative strategies. Earlier experience includes serving as a Portfolio Manager at Asiya Investments from September 2008 to March 2017, where Karthik managed up to USD 750 million in assets for institutional clients and led a Long-Short Asia Ex-Japan product. Karthik began the career as a Management Consultant Intern at DPWN In-house Consulting in 2007. Karthik holds an MBA in Finance from Purdue University Daniels School of Business and a B.E. in Mechanical from the University of Mumbai.
