Mika Alastalo has extensive work experience in various management roles within the logistics and manufacturing industries. Mika served as the Chief Operating Officer at Axopar Boats from 2021 and has held the same position at KONE Corporation from 2021 to 2022. At KONE Corporation, they also worked as the Director of Logistics Development from 2018 to 2021, where they led the establishment and leadership of a global development function. Additionally, they served as the Director of Logistics from 2006 to 2018, overseeing global logistics operations and supply chain transformations. Prior to their role at KONE Corporation, Mika worked at KONE as a Director of the Elevator Component Unit and held various managerial positions from 1992 to 2005.

Mika Alastalo completed their Master's Degree in Industrial Management from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, spanning from 1986 to 1992. Mika then pursued various professional development programs and executive training courses to enhance their leadership and business management skills. Mika attended programs in leadership and business management at IMD in 2007, 2010, and 2012. Mika also completed a program in strategic business management at Columbia University in 2003 and received executive training in leadership and business management from London Business School in 1996. In 2021, Mika further expanded their knowledge by participating in modules in strategic planning, finance, and data strategies provided by Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development. In addition to their educational achievements, Mika also obtained the certification of "Certified Board member Hyväksytty hallituksen jäsen (HHJ)" from the Chamber of Commerce in March 2022.
