Damaris Rivera Mateo has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Damaris most recently served as an HR consultant for the Faena Group and the Leader of Human Resources for NSi Insurance Group from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a self-employed HR consultant from 2006 to 2016, and as Corporate HR Director and SE Region HRBP for Lennar from 2002 to 2006. Damaris also held HR management roles at Pan American Sports Network, Yupi Internet, and Bacardi from 1994 to 2002. In 2022, they joined Backpack as the VP of Human Resources.
From 1987 to 1992, Damaris Rivera Mateo attended the University of Connecticut where they earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies.
