Themis Charalampous

Themoula Charalampous is an experienced sequencing lead currently at Bactobio since July 2023, focusing on sequencing workflows and expanding capabilities. Previously, Themoula served as a Research Fellow at King's College London from March 2020 to June 2023, managing sequencing-based projects in the CIDR department. Additionally, Themoula worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist, developing rapid metagenomic sequencing workflows for infectious disease characterization. An academic background includes a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of East Anglia, a Master's in Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology from Imperial College London, and a Bachelor's in Microbiology from the University of Leicester. A scientific researcher role at Oxford Nanopore Technologies involved optimizing multiplex library preparation for low-biomass samples during a brief placement in 2017.
