Baebies
Anita Vaidya has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and manufacturing. Anita started their career at Pfizer in 2016 as a Manufacturing Associate, where they followed Good Manufacturing Practices and executed various procedures such as fermentation, sterile filtration, and media transfer. Anita then transitioned to the role of an Associate Manufacturing Scientist, where they continued to adhere to GMPs, SOPs, and safety procedures while performing seed development and incubation at production scale.
In 2017, Anita joined Baebies as a Reagent Manufacturing Technician, where they demonstrated careful and consistent manufacturing and packaging of reagent products, along with in-process quality control. Anita accurately completed batch records and work order documents. Later, they were promoted to Scientist I at Baebies, where they developed new molecular diagnostic assays on a digital microfluidic platform. Anita optimized assay design and reagent formulations using DOE tools, and characterized assay performance across various analytical metrics. Anita also derived solutions for technical challenges imposed by system constraints. Anita currently holds the position of Scientist II at Baebies.
Overall, Anita Vaidya has proven expertise in both laboratory research and manufacturing, displaying proficiency in assay development, quality control, and adherence to GMPs and safety procedures.
Anita Vaidya has a diverse education history. In 1998-2000, they attended Karnataka University, Dharwad and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Inorganic Chemistry. Following this, in 1994-1997, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology from the same university. Anita then focused on honing their skills in the biotechnology field. In 2013, they completed coursework on cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) at Wake Technical Community College. Anita continued their education in 2016, completing coursework as a Biowork Process Technician at Wake Technical Community College. Additionally, Anita acquired a certification as a Certified Process Technician from Partnership for Biotechnology Workforce Training in June 2016.
