David Berman

David Berman currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Balfour Beatty Communities, leading the Ethics & Compliance function for a diversified real estate services company. Previously, David Berman was the first Director of Compliance and Ethics at Lyft, where a comprehensive program was established. Earlier experience includes serving as Counsel in the Securities, Litigation, and Enforcement Group at WilmerHale, and as Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Division of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, where complex investigations were conducted. David Berman's legal career began at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP as a Litigation Associate, with additional roles including a Chambers Internship and a Desk Assistant position at The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. Educational credentials include a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Amherst College.
