Rita Sattler

Rita Sattler is a Professor of Translational Neuroscience at Barrow Neurological Institute, where Rita has served since October 2015, following a prominent academic career that includes roles as Associate Professor at the same institution and Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University from October 2008 to October 2015. Prior to these positions, Rita Sattler was a Principal Scientist and Scientific Liaison at Ruxton Pharmaceuticals Inc., leading a research team focused on drug discovery for neurodegeneration. Additional experience includes a role as Research Associate at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, specializing in glutamatergic homeostasis research. Rita Sattler holds a PhD in Neurosciences from the University of Toronto and a BSc in Biotechnology Engineering from Hochschule Mannheim.
