BAYCAT
Zara Ahmed serves as the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Manager at BAYCAT since December 2020, where responsibilities include leading talent acquisition, managing applicant databases, and facilitating communication regarding recruitment. Prior experience includes roles as an Assistant Manager at SIBLING LA and co-owner of Raclette Machine, a cheese-themed food truck emphasizing accessibility to artisan cheese. Zara also taught mathematics and ESL at Utah International Charter School and previously worked as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in diverse educational settings. Earlier career highlights comprise program manager and lead instructor at BAYCAT, where curriculum development and project-based film classes focused on racial justice for marginalized youth were key responsibilities, as well as experience as a cheesemonger and production assistant for a documentary film. Zara holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production and French from Chapman University.
