Łukasz Kozera

Scientific Programme Manager at BBMRI-ERIC

Lukasz Kozera, PhD, serves as the Head of the Clinical Diagnostics Centre at Saint Luke Hospital, managing one of the largest laboratory medicine centers in Lower Silesia since April 2022. In addition, Lukasz is a Scientific Programme Manager at BBMRI-ERIC, leading initiatives to establish a biobank in Cyprus and facilitating international biobanking collaborations focused on COVID-19 and cancer research. Previously, Lukasz held the position of Director of the National Node in Biobanking for PORT Polski Ośrodek Rozwoju Technologii sp. z o.o., where the Polish Biobanking Network was established. Lukasz also acted as the National Biobanking Coordinator at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, integrating Poland into the European Biobanking Network. Academic roles include serving as a Researcher at Wroclaw Medical University and as Biobank Manager and Biomarker Program Coordinator at the University of Leeds. Educational qualifications include a Board Certified Specialist in Laboratory Medicine and a PhD in Molecular Medicine.
