Kevin Thien has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kevin currently holds the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at BC Financial Services Authority, where they are responsible for overseeing the regulation of various financial services transactions. Prior to this, Kevin served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Campus Support, where they managed HR operations for Canada's largest private educator. Kevin also held the position of Director of Human Resources at BC Centre for Ability. Additionally, Kevin worked at Langara College as an Associate Director of Human Resources and held various positions in the Ministry of Transportation and Highways, Ministry of Health, and the Department of National Defence.
Kevin Thien earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Diploma in Technology with a focus on Human Resources at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, which they obtained between 1991 and 1992. In addition to their formal education, Kevin obtained the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certification from the BC Human Resources Association (BC HRMA) in January 2012.
