Doug Calvert has been an HS English teacher at Bellevue School District since 2003, focusing on freshmen, AVID, AP, IB, gifted education, Theory of Knowledge, and curriculum development, while also holding building leadership roles. Prior to this, Doug taught high school English for 15 years at Centralia School District, covering AP and senior/junior-level classes. Doug holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in the Humanities from Colorado College (1999-2001), a Bachelor of Education from the University of Oregon (1989-1991), and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of the Pacific (1984-1987).
