Zachary Reinert

Zachary Reinert is a highly experienced scientific solutions consultant with a strong background in synthetic biology, having served as a Principal Scientific Solutions Consultant at Benchling since July 2021, and previously as a Lead Scientist at UES, Inc. from July 2018 to July 2021. At UES, Zachary led projects focused on biomaterials and protein capture, mentoring over 10 junior scientists and identifying novel proteins for inorganic polymer production. Zachary's previous roles include significant leadership in research and program management at the Air Force Research Laboratory, where guidance on personnel and scientific direction was provided. A postdoctoral fellow at UC Irvine, Zachary secured funding for research and contributed to the development of bioluminescent proteins and bioorthogonal probes. With a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Zachary's academic and professional achievements reflect a commitment to advancing scientific exploration and innovation.
